Abstract

The increasingly rapid information technology so that more and more people are using technology in various activities or to solve problems. One of them in soccer is the placement of players in soccer, so far in determining the placement of players the position still relies on the instinct of the coach and the ego of the players so that there are still coaches who have not been able to assess objectively. By utilizing a decision support system, one of which is the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method as a determination of the position of players in football, Simple Additive Weighting is used for weighting criteria, matching ratings for each criterion and ranking. The Simple Additive Weighting method will produce the largest V (prefabricated value) for the best alternative results. The purpose of this research is expected to be able to assist the trainer in making decisions and how to evaluate from subjective to objective. The results of this study will produce a form of decision support system modeling in determining the placement of the position of a soccer player with the highest weight value from the calculation results of the method used
