Design of Maternal and Child Health Information System for Posyandu Sumedang Regency

Abstract

Posyandu currently has a significant role to support public health services. The need for accurate, precise and up-to-date information is increasingly needed along with the rapid development of information technology, this encourages the public and agencies to utilize information technology and use information systems. Information systems are one part of the development of information technology that is needed to help organizational performance. Organizing information that is carried out regularly, clearly, precisely, and quickly and can be presented in a report, of course, greatly supports the smooth operation of the organization's operational activities in making the right decisions. However, because the recording is still done manually, the midwives find it difficult to monitor all activities. The design in this study is expected to be used as a further reference for posyandu midwives to find out information and management of posyandu data. Tests are carried out by running the system and inputting various inputs for each function and facility owned by the system and seeing whether the output results are as expected or vice versa. The design of this Posyandu Information System provides convenience for posyandu midwives in managing maternal and child health data. By using a computerized system, it is easy to find out the Maternal and Child Health reports on the development of infants and toddlers so that parents of babies will easily know the development of their children and there are reports of children and posyandu reports to the community health center.
